70th Anniversary Special Exhibition of Shandong Exile Students and the Penghu 713 Incident

This exhibition presents the "Penghu 713 Incident" in which a group of exiled students from all over Shandong who traveled south from Guangzhou to Penghu by boat was forced to form troops, and how they went from drifting to rooting in Taiwan.

The exhibition has 4 topics: "We want to study- the Years in Exile”, “The Penghu 713 Incident and The Injustice of Exile Teachers and Students from Shandong”, “The Forced New Hometown- from Shandong to Taiwan”, and “The Never-Ending Finale- Memory, and Truth”. The four major units tell the story of the life of these war-torn students who have been displaced from the mainland to Taiwan.

This exhibition is held in Penghu and Taipei on July 13, 2019, and August 2, respectively, and will be exhibited until November 3. The National Human Rights Museum and the Cultural Bureau of Penghu County Government also hold a series of educational activities in Taipei and Penghu, including lectures, courses, and competitions.
