Seed Pods of Democracy:Human Rights Poster Design Exhibition
Graphic design turns ideas of democracy and human rights into images that speak directly to the public. Co-presented by the National Human Rights Museum, the Korean Democracy Foundation, and the National Museum of Korean Democracy, this exhibition originates from the Democracy Poster Project and brings together 100 poster works by 50 design teams from around the world. Through graphic design—the most direct and accessible form of visual expression—the exhibition explores themes such as freedom of expression, democratic systems, and human rights, demonstrating how visual language can respond to social realities and inspire public dialogue.
For its presentation in Taiwan, an additional Taiwan section has been specially curated in collaboration with the Control Yuan’s National Human Rights Commission. This section features selected award-winning works from recent Human Rights Poster Design Competitions, alongside the historic 1978 poster Human Rights created during martial law, highlighting the role graphic design has played in Taiwan’s human rights movement.
